Musical Elements, under the joint direction of Robert Beaser and Daniel Asia, is celebrating its 10th-anniversary season and moving uptown from Cooper Union to the 92d Street Y. In all, Musical Elements will present three concerts this year - the first on Tuesday night devoted to works by Lukas Foss, Fred Lerdahl, Toru Takemitsu, Ingram Marshall and Mr. Beaser; the tenor Paul Sperry will be the guest soloist. The bass-baritone John Shirley-Quirk and the oboist Sarah Watkins will be the soloists on March 31 and the soprano Dawn Upshaw on May 19.
